Fall Comfort Meal
Lamb Shank season is here! This is the ultimate comfort meal for fall. Hearty protein, nutrient dense beans, and warm broth! This recipe can be cooked in a Dutch oven or a crockpot, whichever you prefer. Delicious served with fresh warm sourdough bread. Recipe below!
Ingredients;
- 1 Emigh Lamb Shank
- 4 TBSP butter
- 3 carrots
- 1 yellow onion
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 4 cups vegetable broth
- 1/3 cup uncooked navy beans
- 1/3 cup uncooked kidney beans
- 3 TBSP Kinders all purpose meat & veggie seasoning
- salt & pepper to taste
Directions;
For cooking Emigh lamb shank in Dutch oven, melt butter on medium heat. Chop up onions and carrots and sauté until softened, add smashed garlic cloves the last minute of cooking until fragrant. Turn heat to medium low and add in dry white wine, reduce by half. Season lamb shank with Kinders seasoning, add shank into the Dutch oven along with beans and vegetable broth. Bring pot to a low boil then reduce heat to low and simmer for 4-6 hours. Serve warm with fresh sourdough & enjoy!
If using a crockpot, add all ingredients into crockpot and cook on low for 8 hours.
