We have quiet a few chickens on the ranch. We have, Rhode Island Reds, Black Star, and many more. The chickens eat all of the different scrap leftovers we give them as well as bugs, and chicken scratch. They are about 6 years old and are still laying beautiful hearty eggs with the brightest colored yolks. In the winter time they slow down their laying because of less sun exposure and to let there bodies rest. We keep these eggs for our personal use and give extras away to family and friends who love them just as much as we do!
