M.J. Livestock II / Emigh Lamb Lamb Shanks

2-4 Lamb Shanks
Salt and pepper
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 pkg lipton onion soup mix
2 cups red wine
3 cups water

In dutch oven or frying pan on medium heat place olive oil and add lamb shanks. Salt and pepper to taste. Brown on all sides. Add all other ingredients and bake in 350 degree oven for approximately 3 hours or until falls off the bone. You may also brown in frying pan and then put all ingredients in a crock pot for 6-8 hours.
